My Fantasy Baseball draft, lets hear some advice

Posted on: March 27, 2008 10:02 pm

Ok give it to me... I'm drafting first.. (shocker) I've only drafted once one time and it worked out well for me.  (10 team league head to hear points) CBS of course... I figure AROD first.  But second I'm hoping an elite SS second round. I mean Santana should go 2nd or 3rd.  And you got Wright and the first... so on and so forth... who do you think I can get in the 2nd round? and after that its my pick should I go my first starter???

Have you thought about Hanley Ramirez.....sick power and speed .330 BA, 30 HR, 125 Runs, 50+ steals - is there anything this guy cannot do? I would think he might go first round, though.

Yeah second slated SS I think Reyes is 3rd he might fall to me... hell I'D love to get Hanley with that HR Power... they can slide him to 1 or 3rd... he'll get steals produce runs and get RBIS...  and either be better then Reyes or up there with him... guess why they have him above him...

Reyes will steal more bases....that's about it. If Hanley is still available I would take him before my first SP. If not, I might let Reyes drop and take a top of the rotation guy - Santana will be gone, but there are plenty available: Sabathia, Verlander, Beckett, Halladay, Webb, Carpenter, Oswalt, etc.

Well it wasn't the worst... I got ARod no brainer... they went SS so quick... Reyes went 7th or so... which I think was high for any elite SS... I don't think only one SS will be a top 5 guy... there were injuries and no protection problems to some people.  And Reyes wasn't even there despite those issues.  And having a career year.  Howard down year will be up there, Pujols no protection has more, Ortiz healthy, Manny healthy and just being Manny.  And you got guys who will rise just because in better lineups Miggy... Wright started off slow if he doesn't he would have been better then Arod most likely...  point is only 1 SS will be in the top 5 my opinion and it isn't going to be Reyes and they will have to duplicate what they did last year... Rollins with all the 20's... Hanley with the Power and 40-50 steals... Reyes won't be in the top 7 this year don't get me wrong for a SS thats great for U... but first round I'd much rather go best available... I got Guillen round 4/5 when I got Dan Haren I know go figure.
